Tim's blog has been a regular feature since May 2003...
I have no commission but will write as usual. . . .
I'M IN LIMBO so will keep this report short. Last week was routine: a
new chapter of the whodunnit; three boxes of papers and documents to
Boston University; sorting out, writing and all sorts of boring
routine. Then a sudden change of pace and a train to London which was
only ten minutes late.
Business meeting after business meeting...open day at the Temple with
wall to wall barristers and lunch with Kirsten (who is in an Inner
Temple chambers) and Alexander, my son, her husband.
Now from our friend Marcia in Tooting to the Army and Navy and then
first thing Monday by Eurostar to Ghent, Belgium and a week away. I
have no commission but will write as usual and have acquired a brand
new moleskin or whatever notebook for just that purpose. The trip is
Penny's Christmas present but h day for me, er no. I don't do
holidays. That doesn't mean I hope it won't be fun but I shall be
watching, asking, learning and taking notes which may and I hope will
eventually make it into print.
